Created in conjunction with Elite Ultra Runner and JFK 50 Mile Winner/Course Record Holder Runner Hayden Hawks, the Hot Weather Running Socks combine Drymax fibers with PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) fibers to limit heat caused by excess friction. This system has PTFE fibers in the heel, forefoot, and toe areas of the socks. Additionally, to help keep feet cool, built-in open mesh stripe vents release heat and sweat vapors. The 1/4 Crew leg height helps protect your ankles on both the road and trail.
PTFE has the lowest Coefficient of Friction of any fiber, making it the best at keeping friction low between the skin and sock. Low friction allows Hot Weather socks to stay cooler and drier, reducing the chances of hot spots and blisters.
