I wish I could say I didn't know better, but I can't. I've been told about these socks many times by people who I thought were crazy due to the price. I am, scratch that, was one of those guys who thinks socks are socks. I could get a whole bag of socks for the price of a pair of Darn Tough. I was wrong. I decided to put my Darn Tough to a test. I Am a firefighter in California and we had Multiple triple digit temperature days here. I worked out in the morning with heavy cardio then had a vehicle fire at about noon. We then had a wildland fire. In total probably 8 hours in the heat in my turn out equipment. When I got back I showered and hung up my soaked with sweat socks. In the morning they were completely dry and had absolutely no odor. I usually wear basic Dickies or Haynes boot or work socks. By the end of the weak with my old socks there would have been holes in them. Not the Darn Tough. I am a believer and a preacher now. I tell everyone who will listen about my experience. I absolutely love these. Thank you Darn Tough for opening my eyes.
