The "wettest" Darn Tough I've worn

The physical fit of these socks is great - smooth, good cushion, they hold their shape, etc.

My biggest problem with them is they are the wettest, least-wicking (or drying) Darn Toughs that I own (and I own dozens of pairs). I wore these in my Merrell MOAB's for less than an hour, sitting outside in 40°F (so not even hiking/warmed up) and when I took them off, I could just about **see** the moisture on my feet. And man were the socks heavy and wet to the touch. All my other styles (DT2005, DT1405, DT1974, DT2010, etc, etc) would stay pretty much completely dry in the same situation. I wouldn't trust these for any sort of hiking (especially in the summer).

Maybe it's the Twisted Yarn, maybe it's just this pair/production batch, but I wouldn't buy these again (and will probably see about returning them).
